I am SO proud of you! Good Lord, after reading your teaching bio, it occurs to me that you are a wealth of information!! You should teach a Technical Writing class here at MHS. It is definitely a skill that is needed in the workplace, don't you think?
After spending 22 years as non-profit financial manager, I went back to college to get my Ph.D. in literature. While completing my classwork, I taught classes in World Literature, Technical Writing, American Survey, English Survey, Composition I and II, English Romanticism, and Modernism. My emphasis is in Literature with emphases in American Women Writers, American Modernism, Edna St. Vincent Millay and the study of Fairy Tales as an old genre used in the twentieth century to reconstruct the feminine voice. In addition, I scuba dive, travel, delve around antique shops and sit in coffee bars reading.
Finally, a BLOG to call my own. I waited entirely too long to do this and can hardly wait to use it as a classroom tool. More importantly it will serve as a way to find out what my students are doing, thinking, or needing. This is going to be great! So, feel free to explore all types of questions with me and each other keeping in mind to always respect each other's point of view. Hope you are having a wonderful summer.
